Palliative care for people experiencing homelessness  is a very serious issue.

 

At Mouse Medical Films, we are committed to using storytelling to shed light on critical but often overlooked healthcare challenges. These two short films focus on the realities faced by people experiencing homelessness at the end of their lives, exploring the barriers to palliative care and the urgent need for compassionate, accessible support.

• The first film shares the voices of those directly affected—both individuals experiencing homelessness and the health and social care professionals working to support them. Filmed in Manchester and London, it brings attention to the struggles of providing care to people living on the streets, in hostels, or couch surfing, and calls for change.

• The second film, created for St Ann’s Hospice, further explores this pressing issue, emphasizing the need for equitable palliative care services. Through powerful storytelling, it highlights the harsh realities of dying without adequate care and the importance of ensuring dignity and support for all.

Together, these films serve as a call to action, urging the healthcare community and wider society to recognize and address this neglected health crisis
